Per Diem CT Technologist

State of the Art Santa Monica Imaging Center is looking for a Per-Diem CT Technologist. This opportunity includes potential hours from Sunday-Saturday and is located at our multi-modality outpatient practice in Santa Monica, CA. Our center provides a variety of diagnostic imaging services to patients in a friendly and comfortable environment.

Job description and duties:

  • Perform high quality CT’s and some general x-ray exams.
  • Monitor patient’s well-being during exam; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
  • Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly taking them through the steps and answer their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and processes.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Perform QC tracking. Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.

We are looking for experienced and professional candidates who can independently perform all outpatient radiologic exams and procedures with high quality results. Radiologic Technologist job candidates must possess AART(R)(CT) certification, CA State Licenses in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, CPR Certification and venipuncture. Candidate must show flexibility to help with morning and/or evening coverage.

2 years minimum experience required with thorough knowledge of CT and Radiologic Practices and Procedures

Mammography Tech – Full Time

We are looking for an experienced, fully licensed Mammography Tech in the Santa Monica area for a full-time position. Qualified candidate does not require constant supervision of technical details. Must be able to perform both Mammography and XRAY procedures.

Assumes responsibilities for designated areas or procedures as required. Candidate must have open availability and reliable transportation.

Lead Mammography Tech

Lead Mammography Technologist opportunity available for a knowledgeable and experienced technologist! In this lead technologist role, the incumbent will provide leadership and guidance to our mammography technologists at our Imaging Center. This full-time career opportunity will have a 4-day 10- hour shift.

The center provides a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to the community in a patient-friendly and comfortable environment.

As a lead mammographer you will:

  • Lead a team of Mammographers.
  • With guidance from the center supervisor/manager, direct activities of technical staff, assist in interviewing potential candidates for positions, provide training and guidance to the technical team, and assist management with performance evaluations.
  • Perform Quality Assurance responsibilities and assist management with site inspections and/or site accreditation.
  • Keep the site supervisor/manager aware of conditions and activities which positively and negatively impact back-office operations.
  • Respond to questions, needs and concerns of patients and referring physicians.
  • Perform high-quality digital and Tomosynthesis mammography exams on incoming patients.
  • Monitor patient’s well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
  • Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answer their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and processes.
  • Assist in the implementation and administering of procedures and best practices to streamline processes for center operations and participate in and/or lead various projects to support center operations and quality patient care.

Ultrasound – Per Diem

Busy Santa Monica Imaging Center is looking for per-diem Ultrasound Technologist to work Saturday’s and Weekday coverage when needed.

Education:

  • Completion of accredited course radiologic technology or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Completion of AMA approved course in sonography or radiology technology.
  • Current certification with ARRT
  • Current certification by ARDMS
  • Current BCLS certification

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Carrying out diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
  • Perform wide range of outpatient ultrasound exams such as but not limited to general ultrasound, abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, breast, small parts, vascular.
  • Performing analysis of highly technical information
  • Operating sonographic machines
  • Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam, procedures and process
  • Positioning the patients properly for diagnostic imaging
  • Choosing the correct sonographic techniques to be used in each case
  • Determining whether the images are good enough for diagnosis
  • Selecting the image that would be shown to the physician
  • Keeping record of the medical history of the patients
  • Participate in meetings and projects and complete other tasks as assigned by management

We are seeking knowledgeable professional sonographers who can independently perform all outpatient ultrasound procedures with high quality results. Candidate must have 3+ years of experience.

X-Ray Technician – Full Time

We are looking for an experienced, fully licensed X-Ray Tech in the Santa Monica area for a full-time position. Qualified candidate does not require constant supervision of technical details. Must possess comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, radiographic techniques and position.

Assumes responsibilities for designated areas or procedures as required. Candidate must have open availability and reliable transportation.

4/10 shift, including weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs all radiologic procedures which are offered by the department, following exam protocols on pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
  • Completes paperwork and computer related duties. Assists radiologists, staff physicians, and nursing and hospital personnel with radiological services.
  • Maintains department facilities, equipment, and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety of patients and staff.
  • Checks equipment supplies and accessories on a regular daily basis.
  • Keeps supplies current and replenished.
  • Processes images, evaluates for technical quality and accurate patient identification and side labeling.

Protect patients, yourself and staff from radiation exposure by practicing sound procedures that meet or exceed recommended industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited Radiological Technology Program.
  • Current ARRT license. Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.
  • Prefer one-year relevant experience as a radiology technician.
  • Current CPR card.
  • 1 year of experience post training (Required)
  • Current CA license
  • (ARRT) Certified
  • CPR/BLS

Experience with EPIC a plus. Highly competitive pay.
